Patterns, shapes and colors in tropical leaves

Jardim Botânico of Rio de Janeiro is a 140-hectare botanical garden which contains more than 6,000 different species of tropical/subtropical plants and trees and 140 species of birds. Though It is known for a 750m line of 134 palms trees which creates the main avenue, I was amazed by the diverstiy and richness of patterns, shapes and colors amongst the leaves.

Fixies

Fixie, which stands for fixed-gear bike, is a bike with no freewheel. The pedals and the back wheel are always in motion together. Some fixies don’t have brake and slowing down is achieved by reversing the pedals, or skidding, or doing a skip stop. Fixies are custom-made and unique bikes.
