Patterns, shapes and colors in tropical leaves

April 11th, 2010 ArtNaturePhotos

Jardim Botânico of Rio de Janeiro is a 140-hectare botanical garden which contains more than 6,000 different species of tropical/subtropical plants and trees and 140 species of birds. Though It is known for a 750 m line of 134 palms trees which creates the main avenue, I was amazed by the diverstiy and richness of patterns, shapes and colors amongst the leaves. Leaves have round, square or polygonal shapes and the biggest one have a large spectrum of colors designing beautiful patterns.
