Jardim Botânico of Rio de Janeiro is a 140-hectare botanical garden which contains more than 6,000 different species of tropical/subtropical plants and trees and 140 species of birds. Though It is known for a 750m line of 134 palms trees which creates the main avenue, I was amazed by the diverstiy and richness of patterns, shapes and colors amongst the leaves.

Fixie, which stands for fixed-gear bike, is a bike with no freewheel. The pedals and the back wheel are always in motion together. Some fixies don’t have brake and slowing down is achieved by reversing the pedals, or skidding, or doing a skip stop. Fixies are custom-made and unique bikes.

How much time do freelances and companies spend doing quotes for their clients?
This time should benefit somebody.
Clients should be charged symbolically for quotes, knowing that their money will go to non profit organizations.

Community in Action is a grassroots non-profit non-governmental organization (NGO) located in one of Rio de Janeiro’s largest favela (slum) communities.
I will be teaching a basic computers science class and take care of the NGO’s website. Everybody who has an idea that could help to promote the NGO is invited to comment this entry.
